Our Mission is to provide academic programming for the purpose of educating student scholars for future success. We are working to build a community-minded village of people who share our heart and passion for the support and well-being of children/youth–and are willing to assist us with our efforts.

Founded in 2011, the Minnesota CHILL Foundation, is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that has been one of the most successful youth programs in Minnesota.

The CHILL Foundation recognizes education as the key factor in the development of Minnesota’s youth. We strive to close education and opportunity gaps with our academic and athletic programming.

C.H.I.L.L. Stands for Community Helping Individuals Live and Learn.

Our Mission is to provide academic and athletic programming for the purpose of educating student scholars for future success. The Overall CHILL Foundation objectives include:

  • Improve the lives of individuals in our community by providing high quality academic, athletic and health and wellness programming.
  • Provide college readiness programs and services to influence academic behaviors and potentially to obtain academic or athletic scholarships.

  • Develop or obtain a facility to deliver programming in a safe and inviting environment for youth and families.
  • Provide synergy between the academic, athletic and health and wellness programming to ensure participation by clients in complementary programs.
  • Address the educational, health and wellness disparities that plague the Greater Twin Cities Community and primarily impacting the African-American community.

It is our civic duty to ensure that those who participate in our programs will benefit doubly; they will receive quality fitness/athletic development while pursuing academic excellence. As a non-profit and community-conscious organization, CHILL will take a collaborative approach to establish resources and partnerships with various sectors throughout the Twin Cities – as well as pursue funding through private corporate, foundation, grants, and individual contributions/donations to design and support programming that meets the needs of each youth individually, and collectively.

Our goal is to launch CHILL Academy in 2020. Here are some of the ways in which you can assist us in our efforts to provide scholars with high quality and a culturally-enriched academic experience: Classroom Assisting, Childcare, Tutoring, Progress Monitoring and Reading.

Additional volunteer opportunities to come in the future once the Academy gets underway.

Developing The Leaders of Tomorrow

“We’re going to be a S.T.E.M. focused program; Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics. We want to focus on our kids having a well rounded approach so that they can have an opportunity to have equitable access to grow and learn on the things that they are well at.” – Chuckie Hill, Director of Education
